Ross Mackerrcher won the Bacardi DJ contest for 2006 and will be heading off to the Winter Music COnference. The DJ beat out 5000 other contestants and was just a bedroom dj up until thsi time.

“I’m going to learn as much as I can about the industry first hand, and use this experience with Bacardi DJ and Allister as a springboard for my musical career,” says Ross.

What an awesome showing Ross ! Bedroom DJing does pay off after all.

Gang Starr deejay Premier put on a disappointing show in Taipei. With the dj putting on a lackluster performance and blaming the equipment ffor skipping and a deadbeat MC Big Shug putting in a half hearteed effort the crowd just didn’t like it.

Apperently to entertain the crowd Premier resorted to belting out some tunes and sharing sex stories.

Too bad he came up limp.

Looks like Lindsey Lohan is a dj now. Recently at a posh party in New York she was seen dominating the decks. Among her selections were the Beatles, AC/DC and a collection of other hits from the sixties and seventies. The hot lead from Herbie seems to have a wide variety of music taste.

If you evern wanted to run your own club now you can. Nightclub Empire is a game that allows you to manage a series of nightclubs so you can finally try your hand at running the club better. The game is extremely simle and straight forward, in fact to much so. Its unfortunate that a game that has so much potential burns it all by oversiplyfying the business of running a club.

Phonic has produced a clone to the numark ipod mixing station . Hoping that the new ipod mixing station would have solved many of the problems of the Numark version I ran out to check it out. Well.. let me tell you this thing has dissapointment written all over it. All the same problems as the Numark but no new benifits.

Mackie showed off its new M Series monitor at teh NAMM tradde show. The new monitor is a faster, louder, better release and doesn’t really have anything remarkable or new in it.

We wish the corp team at Mackie thee best of luck but seriously guys releasing a product thats the same as the last one is just lame.
